Inaccurate mental models in human machine interaction can lead to automation surprise. My research focuses on cognitive user models that dynamically adapt to neurophysiological information about the user's current mental state. The objective is to make a user’s mental model of a machine accessible to the machine itself with the help of such neuroadaptive cognitive models.
