Based on the rapid development of new technologies -especially in the automobile industry- it is important to consider the human. To gain a good user experience, more safety (absolute and subjective) and trust into highly automated driving vehicles, interfaces have to be adapted to the human and the interaction optimized. Besides a good interface and easy usage, an important interest of research lies on individual and situation dependent adaptabilities. Cognitive models that are based on individual and situation dependent data compute predictions that are more precise and can be used to adapt transition modalities to the individual driver including the particular situation.
