I am interested in the modeling of the human visual search behavior and the processes of visual attention. As part of my master thesis I am concerned with the cognitive modeling of an icon search task with differing stimulus similarity and homogeneity on mobile touch devices. The goal is to provide a model that is able to capture data from a conducted experiment more accurately than a previous reported model. The resulting model can act as a template for modelers and designers who are interested in efficient predictions of search times for visuals search task on touch devices.
